Questions? Ask Mo.
Tap a question and Mo, our buddy, will answer. Can’t find yours? Ask us on WhatsApp.
I’ve never dived. Can I?

Of course! Start with Try Scuba: half a day, a real reef dive down to 12 m, with your instructor right beside you. Or go straight for the Open Water and get certified.
Do I need to know how to swim?

SSI asks that you’re fit to swim. For the Open Water there’s a short swim and a float before the open-water dives. Not a strong swimmer? Tell us and we’ll find the right way to start.
How old do I have to be?

SSI minimums: 8 to try scuba, 10 for Open Water, 6 to try mermaiding and 12 for the mermaid certification. Under 18s need a parent or guardian to sign the forms.
Do I need a medical certificate?

On paperwork day you fill in a short medical questionnaire. You only need a doctor’s OK if your answers call for it: for example, if you’re over 45 and smoke, have high blood pressure or high cholesterol, or a family history of heart disease before 50. If you’re pregnant, please don’t dive.
How many divers per guide?

One guide for every two divers. Up to four only for certified friends or family diving together.
SSI or PADI?

We’re an SSI Official Partner Dive Center and, for now, we teach SSI only. SSI certifications are recognised all over the world.
How do I book?

Send us a WhatsApp with your dates and how much you’ve dived. A deposit saves your spot: USD 20 for fun dives, Try Scuba and Refresh, 100 for a course, 150 for a combo of two. The rest you pay on arrival. All the details in our booking terms.
What should I do before day one?

Pop in the day before for the paperwork and the medical questionnaire, so your first day is all diving.
What’s included?

All your scuba gear, the dive fees, and your SSI digital materials and certification. We provide a dive computer on the Advanced Open Water Diver and on selected dives; we recommend having your own. Want a plastic SSI card too? It’s USD 19.
Can I film my course?

You can rent a GoPro from us for USD 10 per dive. On the Open Water and the Advanced, cameras come along only on the last dive (and the night dive), so you can focus on your skills first.
Where is the sardine run?

Right outside: walk down our stairs and swim a short way north. More in Fun dives.
What time do we start?

We plan around you. Only 3-dive days and Pescador Island trips start early, at 8:15. The night dive goes in at 18:00, and nothing else leaves after 15:00.
Can I split a dive pack over several days?

Yes, packs of 3 and 5 can be split over different days. The 3-dive pack has one boat trip (two dives) and the 5-dive pack two.
I haven’t dived in a while. Is that OK?

No problem. Start with a Refresh: a skills review and a dive with an instructor, USD 59. If your last dive was more than a year ago, it’s a must.
Do you have nitrox?

Yes. We run our own compressor and mix our own nitrox: USD 4 extra per dive for certified nitrox divers.
My friend doesn’t dive. Can they come?

Sure! They can rent snorkel gear from us (USD 5 a day) or bring their own, and go down our stairs straight into the sea. A seat on the boat is USD 19 per trip.
Who can try mermaiding?

Anyone from 6 years old. Sessions run every day, by booking. Have a look at Lu’Lu Mermaid.
Do mermaid sessions include photos?

Glam photoshoots include make-up, wig and crown, all photos and videos, 10 edited photos and 1 edited video. Open-water shoots come with an underwater camera, 5 edited photos and 2 colour-graded videos.
How do I pay?

Cash or Wise. Our prices are in US dollars, and we also accept pesos at the Lu’Lu rate, set on the 1st and the 15th of each month. With Wise, transfer fees are on you.
Do you have prices for Filipinos?

Yes. Filipino citizens have special, lower prices in pesos, for the same dives and courses. Bring your ID when you book.
What if I need to cancel?

Cancel 24 hours or more before and we refund everything. Later than that, or if you don’t show up, the deposit is lost: it covers the instructor or guide we had booked for you. More in our booking terms.
What if the weather is bad?

If the maritime authority stops all diving, we first try to move you to another day. If that’s not possible, we refund everything.
Do you speak my language?

English, always. Txus also speaks Spanish and French, and Alex speaks Arabic.
How do I find you?

Ask the tricycle or motorbike for the parking next to Pacita’s, then follow the path down to the sea. Or just open us in Google Maps ↗.
When can I fly after diving?

DAN recommends waiting at least 12 hours after a single dive, and 18 hours after several dives or several days of diving. Plan your last dive with your flight in mind.
Hmm, Mo doesn’t know that one yet. Ask the team on WhatsApp ↗
